Job summary

Covenant HealthCare seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team in a hospital setting in Michigan. The role involves compounding, labeling, and dispensing under pharmacist supervision, with emphasis on patient safety and accuracy.

The technician will manage inventory, assist in sterile product preparation, and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff, while complying with regulatory standards and Covenant's values.

Qualifications

• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification from a Nationally recognized organization.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Licensure in the State of Michigan.
• Previous hospital pharmacy technician experience including sterile compounding.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with dispensing and compounding under supervision.
• Maintain stock levels and replenish Omnicell and general inventory.
• Prepare, label, and check pharmaceuticals with final pharmacist check.
• Perform IV admixtures and sterile product preparation per aseptic technique.
• Answer phone calls professionally and transfer as needed.
• Ensure temperature checks and daily maintenance of pharmacy equipment.
• Adhere to USP 797/800 where applicable and complete competency exams.
• Participate in unit meetings and other duties as assigned.
