Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with sterile compounding and/or 6 months technician experience or ASHP-accredited technician program preferred.
• MI state licensure for Pharmacy Technician upon hire, or Pharmacist Intern licensure upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Fills medication orders including oral, injectable and IV admixtures.
• Assists in bulk manufacturing of special pharmaceutical products.
• Prepares and distributes floor stock items; inventories and restocks shelves.
• Enters charges and credits in the computer for all medications and IV admixtures dispensed.
• Distributes medications to patient care areas and other departments; maintains clean, safe work area.
