Job summary

Covenant HealthCare in Michigan is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing and delivery of pharmaceuticals and supplies. You will maintain stock, assist with sterile compounding, and provide excellent patient-focused service in a hospital environment.

The role requires current Pharmacy Technician Certification and Michigan licensure, with familiarity in EPIC and Omnicell systems.

Qualifications

Pharmacy Technician Certification from a nationally recognized organization.
Michigan Pharmacy Technician licensure required.
Hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred, including sterile compounding.

Responsibilities

Participates in cost containment through efficient use of supplies and time management.
Interfaces with pharmacists for dispensing, labeling and final checks.
Compounds, prepares, and labels pharmaceuticals under supervision and final check.
Fills unit-dose carts and delivers to patient care units.
Responds to pharmacy calls and assists pharmacists as needed.
Performs temperature checks and inventory tasks and maintains compliance with policies.
Operates Omnicell and EPIC systems for dispensing and verification.
