Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking an entry-level Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management. After training, you will decipher and enter orders, compound IVs, and assist with billing and stock control in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will perform sterile and non-sterile compounding per USP guidelines, operate the McKesson robot and EPIC system, and ensure accurate labeling and barcode checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Annual exam for Aseptic Technique within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Computer experience required and Microsoft Windows competency.
• Good math skills and the ability to work under time pressure.
• Interpersonal skills and teamwork with staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Run reports, restock dispensing machines, and investigate narcotic discrepancies.
• Sterile compounding per USP 797 and non-sterile per USP 795 guidelines.
• Perform cleaning of IV room areas using approved solutions.
• Run labels accurately using computer systems.
• Fill, reconcile and exchange 24-hour medicine carts using McKesson robot and EPIC.
• Repackage non-unit dose medications with PacMed and McKesson repackager.
• Replace and fill floor stock including EMS boxes and anesthesia carts; stock UD area and IV room.
