Responsibilities

Demonstrates thorough knowledge of duties and responsibilities within the institutional drug distribution system.
Accurately compounds, pre-packages and repackages medications with proper labeling.
Performs aseptic compounding of parenteral admixtures and sterile dosage forms.
Maintains knowledge of drug properties, storage needs, and safety information.
Operates automated dispensing machines and technology in accordance with policy.
Handles drug purchasing and inventory control as needed.
Participates in quality improvement initiatives and staff development programs.
Interacts with colleagues and patients to ensure confidentiality and proper triage of orders.
Adheres to attendance policies and BH guidelines.
