Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our Central Pharmacy Operations. The role restsocks floor stock and automated dispensing machines, enters charges, and supports medication distribution to ensure accurate patient billing.

You will assist in sterile compounding, IV preparations, and maintaining compliance with USP standards, while training new staff and supporting inventory management in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Registered Technician with State.
• CPhT.
• Sterile compounding experience.
• CPhT-Adv (preferred).
• Hospital pharmacy experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Restocks floor stock/automated dispensing machines.
• Enters charges/credits against patient profile to ensure an accurate bill.
• Monitors medication order reports to assign medication to an automated dispensing machine.
• Delivers all medication in compliance with all DEA, DPH & State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Repackages bulk supplies of medications in unit of use packaging per USP 795/800 standards.
• Prepares and delivers IV medications per USP 797/800; maintains records and QA.
• Checks for expired medications and disposes of damaged meds per regulations.
