Job summary

Health First is seeking a Manager, Pharmacy to provide leadership and operational oversight of inpatient pharmacy services across our hospitals. You will ensure safe medication use, compliance with regulations, and alignment with organizational goals, while guiding pharmacists and staff.

The role focuses on optimizing storage, preparation, and distribution, managing inventory, and leading quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) is required.
• Five (5) years of experience in Pharmacy.
• Florida Pharmacist licensure required; consultant licensure within six months of start date.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider card or ACLS with PALS required before start date and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of hospital pharmacy operations, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant medication use across storage, preparation, and distribution areas.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements, including federal and state laws, controlled substances, and Health First policies.
• Oversee medication procurement, storage, and inventory management with accountability for all medications.
• Lead pharmacy quality improvement initiatives to enhance medication safety and service quality.
• Develop and deliver education and training programs for pharmacy staff and healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to align pharmacy services with organizational goals.
• Support strategic planning and budget development for pharmacy services.
• Manage departmental financial performance, including budgeting, expenses, and variance management.
• Maintain documentation and operational metrics and reporting.
