Job summary

Health First is seeking a Manager, Pharmacy to lead inpatient pharmacy operations across its hospitals in Florida. This role ensures safe, compliant medication management, oversees storage, preparation, distribution, and quality improvement activities, and drives strategies to optimize operations and patient safety.

The position requires a PharmD or BPharm with Florida licensure, 5 years’ pharmacy experience, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) required.
Five years of pharmacy experience.
Florida Pharmacist licensure required.
Pharmacist consultant licensure in Florida within 6 months of start date.
AHA BLS or ACLS+PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight of hospital pharmacy operations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Oversee procurement, storage, and inventory management of medications.
Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety.
Develop and deliver education for staff and providers.
Collaborate with clinical leaders to align pharmacy services with organizational goals.
Manage departmental budget and financial performance.
Maintain documentation and metrics for regulatory and organizational reporting.
