Job summary

Exalt Health, LLC. seeks a Pharmacy Director to ensure safe and effective medication use through comprehensive oversight of storage, handling, preparation, compounding, labeling and dispensing in a hospital setting.

You will lead the clinical, operational, administrative, staffing and financial management of the hospital pharmacy and educate patients and caregivers, advising physicians on medication choices and safety while serving on the Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state where practicing.
• Experience with building out a pharmacy department and hospital operations from pre-opening to launch.
• Experience with licensure applications, pharmacy inspections, and automation systems (loading medications).
• Pharmacology, therapeutics and medication safety knowledge; strong communication and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and effective use, storage, handling, evaluation, preparation, compounding, labeling and dispensing of medications.
• Lead clinical, operational, administrative, staffing and financial management of the hospital pharmacy.
• Educate patients and caregivers about drugs and their use; provide patient counseling and service.
• Supervise and coach Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians; support Corporate Director of Pharmacy’s strategy.
• Serve on the hospital Leadership Team and collaborate with physicians and staff on medication decisions.
