Job summary

AdventHealth in Dade City, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Leader to oversee operations and programs across the hospital pharmacy, including staffing, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate with campus leadership to ensure safe medication use and will precept residency and student experiences.

The role requires a Doctorate in Pharmacy and Pharmacist licensure, with BCPS and hospital experience preferred. This on-site role offers day shifts and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Pharmacy required.
• Licensed Pharmacist (RPH) required.
• Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) preferred.
• Hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• PGY-1/PGY-2 residency or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations and programs of assigned pharmacy areas, including staffing, hiring, terminations, evaluations, and coaching for pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.
• Schedule pharmacy employees to meet productivity targets and department objectives.
• Collaborate with campus leadership to resolve medication-related issues and execute campus strategies.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and serve as Consultant of Record with the state Board of Pharmacy as applicable.
• Manage medication distribution, optimize utilization, minimize waste, and maximize inventory turns.
• Mentor residents and students as a preceptor/educator; participate in dispensing and compounding activities.

Education

Pharmacy Doctorate (PharmD)

Master's degree in Pharmacy or Healthcare Leadership (preferred)
