Job summary

AdventHealth in Kissimmee, Florida is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Leader to manage operations and programs across assigned pharmacy areas. You will oversee staffing, scheduling, budget oversight, and regulatory compliance to ensure patient-centered care.

The role requires a licensed pharmacist with a Doctorate in Pharmacy, and a track record in residency education and clinical pharmacy leadership. A Master’s in Healthcare Leadership is preferred; the position offers opportunities for

Qualifications

Licensed Pharmacist (RPH) required
Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) preferred
Pharmacy Consultant (CPh) preferred
Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) preferred

Responsibilities

Manages operations and programs of assigned pharmacy areas, including staffing, hiring, terminations, evaluations, and coaching for pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.
Schedules pharmacy employees to meet productivity targets and department objectives.
Acts as liaison to campus leadership to resolve medication-related issues and execute campus strategies.
Ensures department compliance with state, federal and other regulatory requirements.
Manages medication distribution, optimizes medication utilization, minimizes waste, and enhances staff productivity.
Performs all pharmacist functions and participates in dispensing and compounding activities.
