Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a Pharmacist Leader to drive operations and programs across pharmacy services. The role focuses on staffing, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with campus leadership to ensure optimal patient care.

The position requires a Doctorate in Pharmacy and active Pharmacist licensure, with BCPS preferred. It offers a full-time, day-shift schedule at the Orlando campus, with opportunities to mentor residents and advance clinical practices.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Pharmacy is required.
• Licensed Pharmacist (RPH) required.
• Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) preferred.
• Pharmacy Consultant (CPh) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages operations and programs of assigned pharmacy areas, including staffing, hiring, terminations, evaluations, and coaching for pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.
• Schedules pharmacy employees to meet productivity targets and department objectives.
• Acts as a liaison to campus leadership to resolve medication-related issues and execute campus strategies.
• Communicates with campus leaders and medical staff to promote cooperation and efficiency in patient pharmacy care needs.
• Ensures department compliance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements, serving as Consultant of Record with the state Board of Pharmacy as applicable.
• Manages medication distribution, optimizes utilization, minimizes waste, and maintains a practice aligned with hospital standards and pharmacy innovations.
• Assists Director of Pharmacy with budget preparation and manages budgets and financial resources.
• Collaborates with healthcare providers to deliver patient-centered care and medication therapy.
• Performs duties as assigned, including precepting residents and education programs.

Education

Doctorate in Pharmacy

Master's degree in Pharmacy or Healthcare Leadership
