Job summary

Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to oversee continuous pharmacy services across hospital locations and collaborate with MEE staff. The role serves as the Manager of Record for the main campus and satellite clinic pharmacies, directing regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, workflow design, and quality improvement initiatives.

The position reports to the MGH Director of Pharmacy Operations and leads a 25–30 FTE team of professionals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in pharmacy management required; 2–3 years required and 3–5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, guidance, and serves as a role model to staff.
  • Supervises daily operations of pharmacy services and schedules staff.
  • Serves as a policy resource to pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and hospital staff.
  • Participates in on-call responsibility as assigned.
  • Responsible for staff development and performance evaluation.
  • Assists in recruitment, interviews, and training of new staff.
  • Participates in policy and procedure development.
  • Conducts educational programs, in-services, and staff meetings.
