Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Pharmacy Manager for Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary to lead on-site pharmacy services across campuses. You will direct daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, manage a 25–30 FTE team, and collaborate with system leaders on clinical, distribution, and infusion services.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent verbal, written, and quantitative skills.
• Displays a comprehensive knowledge of department operations.
• Shows knowledge of the pharmacology of drugs and the legal aspects of dispensing.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills to educate and supervise staff, normally acquired after three to five years of related hospital experience in a progressive, large health care organization and through self-directed education.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, guidance, and serves as a role model to those professionals under his/her supervision.
• Supervises and directs the daily operations of pharmacy services.
• Schedule and assign staff.
• Serves as a resource person regarding pharmacy policies to pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff.
• Participates in on-call responsibility as assigned.
• Responsible for staff development and performance evaluation.
• Assists in the recruitment, interviews, and training of new staff.
• Participates in the development of policy and procedures.
• Conducts educational programs, in-services, and staff meetings.
