Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary seeks a Pharmacy Manager to lead and oversee pharmacy services across campus and satellite clinics. You will ensure regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and drive quality improvement while mentoring staff.

The role requires a PharmD or BPharm with state licensure, plus 2–5 years of management experience in hospital pharmacy; onsite work at 243-245 Charles Street with 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy is required.
• Master’s Degree is preferred.
• State license as a Pharmacist is required.

Job Summary

The MEE Pharmacy Manager ensures successful furnishing of continuous pharmacy services to MEE patients across hospital-licensed locations and in collaboration with MEE staff. This individual serves as the Manager of Record for the main campus pharmacy and a satellite clinic pharmacy location. In this capacity, they will be responsible for aspects including, but not limited to, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, workflow design and quality improvement initiatives, and overall effective pharmacy services at both locations.

Summary
Directs daily operations of pharmacy services.

This position directs and supports pharmacy staff. Participates in determining the department’s short- and long-term goals and related policies and procedures. Provides leadership and guidance to the pharmacy staff.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must have excellent verbal, written, and quantitative skills.
• Displays a comprehensive knowledge of department operations.
• Shows knowledge of the pharmacology of drugs and the legal aspects of dispensing.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills to educate and supervise staff, normally acquired after three to five years of related hospital experience in a progressive, large health care organization and through self-directed education.
• Can work accurately and make decisions under stress and with time constraints.
• Strong attention to detail.
