Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy is required.
  • Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • State license as a Pharmacist is required.

Job Summary

The MEE Pharmacy Manager ensures successful furnishing of continuous pharmacy services to MEE patients across hospital-licensed locations and in collaboration with MEE staff. This individual serves as the Manager of Record for the main campus pharmacy and a satellite clinic pharmacy location. In this capacity, they will be responsible for aspects including, but not limited to, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, workflow design and quality improvement initiatives, and overall effective pharmacy services at both locations.

Summary
Directs daily operations of pharmacy services.

This position directs and supports pharmacy staff. Participates in determining the department’s short- and long-term goals and related policies and procedures. Provides leadership and guidance to the pharmacy staff.

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor’s Degree Pharmacy required or Doctor of Pharmacy Pharmacy required

Related Pharmacy management experience 2-3 years required and Related Pharmacy management experience 3-5 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and quantitative skills.
  • Displays a comprehensive knowledge of department operations.
  • Shows knowledge of the pharmacology of drugs and the legal aspects of dispensing.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills to educate and supervise staff, normally acquired after three to five years of related hospital experience in a progressive, large health care organization and through self-directed education.
  • Can work accurately and make decisions under stress and with time constraints.
  • Strong attention to detail.
