Job Summary

The MEE Pharmacy Manager ensures successful furnishing of continuous pharmacy services to MEE patients across hospital-licensed locations and in collaboration with MEE staff. This individual serves as the Manager of Record for the main campus pharmacy and a satellite clinic pharmacy location. In this capacity, they will be responsible for aspects including, but not limited to, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, workflow design and quality improvement initiatives, and overall effective pharmacy services at both locations. This leader reports to the MGH Director of Pharmacy Operations and have a 25 to 30 FTE team comprised of technical and professional staff. They will collaborate across MGH and MGB pharmacy leaders to ensure sustained, integrated success in care delivery, including but not limited to Clinical, Distribution, Compounding, Perioperative, and Infusion services.

Summary Directs daily operations of pharmacy services. This position directs and supports pharmacy staff. Participates in determining the department's short- and long-term goals and related policies and procedures. Provides leadership and guidance to the pharmacy staff.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy required or Doctor of Pharmacy Pharmacy required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
  • Licenses and Credentials: Pharmacist [State License] - Generic - HR Only required.
Experience
  • Related Pharmacy management experience 2-3 years required and Related Pharmacy management experience 3-5 years preferred.
