Job summary

St. Joseph Health is seeking a Patient Transporter to provide essential assistance and transportation for patients and related items across our campus, ensuring a highly customer-sensitive and seamless experience.

Each day you will transport inpatients and outpatients, confirm patient identification, greet and assist, and monitor patient condition while reporting issues to appropriate staff. You will maintain a clean, organized workspace and support safety protocols throughout transfers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification within 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Verify and transport the proper patient with at least two identifiers.
• Transport patients, charts, specimens and equipment safely to treatment areas.
• Notify nursing staff of patient transport and destination; obtain necessary paperwork.
