Qualifications

• Basic Life Support - CPR required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify requisition and patient I.D. bracelet prior to transporting.
• Transport patients to and from appropriate care areas using the proper transport method.
• Maintain cleanliness of carts, stretchers, wheelchairs and equipment and monitor for proper operation.
• Assist staff in moving patients from stretchers, wheelchairs, or beds.
• Comply with Hospital/Department/Unit policies.
• Document activities and keep logs of patient transport.
