Job summary

St. Francis Hospital – A Member of Catholic Health in New York is seeking a dedicated Transporter to ensure safe, timely patient transport throughout the facility.

You will work closely with Radiology and nursing teams to move patients, supplies, and equipment with care and courtesy. Responsibilities include transporting patients and supplies to the Radiology Department, assisting technologists with transfers, handling IV pumps, tanks, and charts, and maintaining a calm, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and medical supplies safely to/from the Radiology Department.
• Assist technologists with transferring patients to imaging tables.
• Move IV pumps, oxygen tanks, and patient charts.
• Maintain a safe, calm, and comfortable transport environment for patients.
• Perform general messenger duties as needed.
