Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management.
• Registered Dietitian with CODR within 6 months of hire.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required first day (Utah/Idaho).
• ServSafe certification within 90 days if not current.
• Ability to lead and manage a diverse team.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet, e-mail, scheduling applications and tracking systems.
• Experience in quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Partners with nursing to educate and ensure guidelines are followed.
• Leads patient meal areas and trains in therapeutic diets.
• Coordinates with frontline caregivers to ensure diets follow provider orders.
• Implements clinical best practices to deliver care cost-effectively.
• Provides value-based leadership to build high-functioning teams.
• Manages HR functions: hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating, conflict resolution, discipline, termination.
• Ensures food safety standards and regulatory guidelines are met.
• Monitors quality and satisfaction scores; collaborates with system Directors on outcomes.
• Communicates nutrition expertise with clinical teams and providers.
• Works with clinical team to address patient diet orders and concerns.
