Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a patient meal service team member responsible for on-unit meal delivery, tray assembly, and in-between meal service, coordinating with nursing staff to meet patient nutrition needs. You will communicate patient food issues to team members, respond to special requests, and ensure timely service while adhering to physician orders for modified diets.

Education: H.S. Diploma or GED preferred; no experience required; six months of hospital food service experience

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient meal service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup, and in-between meal delivery.
• Communicate patient food issues/concerns to the team and interact with nursing staff to address nutrition needs or modified diets.
• React accurately to changes to ensure timely service and accuracy of physician orders for modified diets.
