Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking staff for patient meal service on assigned units. You will assist with menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup while ensuring patient needs are met and dietary requirements are followed.

This role involves coordinating with nursing staff to address nutrition needs and adapting to changes to maintain timely service and accuracy of physician orders. Previous hospital food service experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• No experience required.
• Six months previous hospital food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient meal service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup.
• Communicate patient food issues/concerns to the department team, coordinating with nursing for nutrition needs.
• Respond quickly to changes to ensure timely service and accuracy of physician-ordered modified diets.
