Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Northside is seeking a dietary services staff member to support patient meal service on assigned units. You will handle menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup, and respond to patient needs and dietary modifications, working with nursing to ensure accurate nutrition care. No prior hospital food service experience is required, though six months in a hospital setting is preferred.

H.S. diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient meal service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup, and in-between meal service.
• Communicate patient food issues/needs to the team and coordinate with nursing on nutrition requirements.
• Respond to changes to ensure timely service and accuracy of physician-ordered modified diets.
