Job summary

Tufts Medicine in Boston seeks a Clinical Care Technician to provide professional and nonprofessional nursing support under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist in direct patient care, environmental support, and patient safety on assigned units, maintaining competency and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required.
• Preferred: CNA or MA certification.
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals in an accredited program.
• 1 year of related experience as NA/PCA/CCT/PCT preferred.
• Acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional RN in patient care and communicate findings to nurse.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living with dignity and safety.
• Greet patients and family, respond to requests, seek nurse supervision as needed.
• Record and report patient data to the assigned nurse in a timely manner.
• Prepare rooms for admissions, transfers, and discharges; ensure equipment readiness.
• Transport patients and accompany them as needed; act as sitter as directed.
• Provide comfort measures and assist with mobility and ROM exercises.
• Set up procedures and assist staff; maintain clean equipment and supplies.
• Collect specimens and assist with lab prep while following Standard Precautions.
• Care for biomedical equipment and report malfunctions.
• Wound care and DSD application after nurse assessment.
• Perform 12-lead EKG and monitor patient equipment.
• Document admissions, transfers, and discharges; respond to call lights.
