Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/HSED required.
• Basic computer skills needed.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Coordinates tests and treatments with and between various departments for patients on nursing units.
• Maintains knowledge of diagnostic and treatment departments to facilitate scheduling of tests and treatments.
• Facilitates communications to support patient care via multi-line phones, paging, and HIS/EMR systems.
• Screens incoming telephone calls.
• Monitors department office equipment and troubleshoots minor problems.
• Arranges repair of major malfunctions.
• Maintains knowledge of EMR and other systems for ordering supplies and equipment.
• Processes daily patient charges and related procedures.
• Compiles chart forms for admissions, transfers, discharges and expirations.
• Obtains copies of medical records for transfers to other facilities.
• Verifies patient demographic information and registration accuracy.
• Supports positive customer relations and a harmonious work environment.
• Responds promptly to requests and maintains professional phone etiquette.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate patient care and developmental awareness.
