Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time Administrative Support role at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital - Med Surg. The position involves coordinating tests, scheduling, patient communications, and charge processing. 24 hours per week with two days 7a-7:30p; weekends may be required.

This role offers benefits eligibility and a pay range of $19.80–$29.70 per hour. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate, GED, or HSED required.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills essential.
• Excellent oral and written communications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to interruptions and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tests and treatments with nursing units.
• Maintain knowledge of department services to schedule tests.
• Facilitate communications to support patient care.
• Screen incoming telephone calls.
• Process daily patient charges and chart forms.
