Job summary

Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a Paramedic to provide skilled patient care in high‑acuity settings, including the Emergency Department, Critical Care and Respiratory services. Qualifications

• Successfully completed a Paramedic program.
• Current Florida PMD Paramedic certification.
• Maintains BLS/Healthcare provider certification.
• Maintains ACLS certification.
• If appropriate, obtain and maintain PALS certification within one year of hire

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care in Emergency Department, Critical Care or Respiratory Department settings as directed by Medical Director within Paramedic competency.
• Communicates information regarding patient condition to RN, Respiratory Therapist, and ED/CCP providers and documents care.
• Provides for patient comfort and safety including infection control and handling of hazardous materials.
• Prioritizes work activities to ensure patient safety and progress toward goals.
• Administers limited medications safely within education guidelines and competencies.
• Facilitates patient movement and timely admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with Orlando Health policies.
