Qualifications

• Two years hospital outpatient coding experience
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• CCS, RHIA, RHIT or RHIT AHIMA certifications
• Experience with chargemaster and CPT/HCPCS accuracy

Responsibilities

• Review hospital outpatient and professional coding for accuracy
• Ensure compliance with Official Coding Guidelines and CMS policies
• Communicate with insurers about coding issues and disputes
• Maintain coding productivity and confidentiality per policy
• Prepare and submit productivity reports to HIM manager
