Qualified candidates have RHIA/RHIT/CCS-P or CPC credentials, 4 years (or 2 years with Associate's degree) of outpatient coding experience, and the ability to work in a teleworking environment within 100 miles of Mayo Clinic campuses.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 4 years Hospital Outpatient coding experience (non-Mayo) OR 4 years non-Hospital Outpatient Mayo Clinic coding experience
• OR
• Associate's Degree and 2 years Hospital Outpatient coding experience (non-Mayo) OR 2 years non-Hospital Outpatient Mayo Clinic coding experience required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• RHIA/RHIT/CCS-P or CPC credential required
• Knowledge of Hospital Outpatient coding with NCCI, NCD, LCD, and outpatient coding guidelines

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and assign codes from medical record documentation for outpatient medical and surgical encounters.
• Ensure accurate coding for facility claims and adherence to official coding guidelines.
