Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a Food Service Team Lead to oversee daily operations across cooks, diet office, production, and service workers. You will manage staff assignments, training, and ensure safety, sanitation, and recipe adherence in a hospital setting.

You will also participate in hiring, maintain temperature logs, and monitor quality indicators as part of QMS/PI, ensuring excellent patient-facing service and compliance with Board of Health standards.

Qualifications

• Supervises and leads Food Service Team including cooks, diet office, production, and workers.
• Ensures schedules meet workload demands and adjusts as needed.
• Demonstrates teamwork, safety, quality service, and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Participate in peer interviewing for new team members and hiring recommendations.
• Train staff in food production, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Ensure recipes are followed and production logs and temperature records are kept.
• Ensure food is received and stored per health standards.
• Conduct daily safety and sanitation inspections and take corrective actions.
• Communicate performance and provide guidance to team members throughout the day.
• Record temperatures and monitor quality indicators in QMS/PI program.
