Job summary

Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA is seeking a Materials Coordinator to inventory and replenish the unit with medical and surgical supplies, oxygen, and related supplies. The role is part-time with per diem and a day shift, with weekend coverage and additional weekday needs as required.

You will collaborate with nursing and staff for assigned units, manage par levels, receive products, and ensure a clean, organized supply area.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: HS Diploma or Equivalent.
Must be able to count and be detail oriented, neat and orderly.
Certification/Licensure: N/A.

Responsibilities

Provides superior customer service to internal and external clients, customers, and patients as referenced in the Service Excellence Standards.
Receive medical/surgical products and replenish user areas via the totes program.
Inventory supply par level areas.
Return for credit overstocked items to the proper location on a daily basis.
Maintain supply area in a clean and orderly manner.
Inventory and order medical gases as per par level.
Act as a materials trouble-shooter coordinating deliveries to requesters and by thinking and acting in a proactive manner.
Monitor and replenish patient linen and soiled linen bags as needed in order to maintain a sufficient supply in the area.
Respond to user requests for needed supplies and coordinating delivery of same to requester.
Perform other duties as required by manager.
