Job summary

BMC Health System is seeking a Materials Coordinator for the Warehouse department. The role involves inventorying and replenishing medical/surgical supplies, oxygen and related items for assigned units.

Schedule includes part-time, per diem, with day shift and weekend coverage as needed. Responsibilities include providing excellent service to internal clients and patients, coordinating deliveries, maintaining par levels, and ensuring a clean, organized supply area.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Computer literate.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service to internal and external clients, customers, and patients as referenced in the Service Excellence Standards.
• Receive medical/surgical products and replenish user areas via the totes program.
• Inventory supply par level areas.
• Return overstocked items to the proper location for credit on a daily basis.
• Maintain supply area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Inventory and order medical gases as per par level.
• Act as a materials troubleshooter coordinating deliveries to requesters and thinking/acting proactively.
• Monitor and replenish patient linen and soiled linen bags as needed to maintain supply.
• Respond to user requests for needed supplies and coordinate delivery to requester.
• Perform other duties as required by manager.
• Reports to CSR Manager and Coordinator Shipment Discrepancies.
• Completing assignments sheets daily and signing off.
• Accurately inventorying user locations.
• Accountable for timeliness of transmissions.
• Report unmet customer needs to supervisor.
• Notify nurse managers of unmet needs.
