Qualifications

• One year of mechanical/electrical work experience.
• High school diploma or GED; vocational training preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Experience using power/hand tools and electrical metering devices.
• Good written and oral communication; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and preventative maintenance on hospital equipment, systems and structures.
• Maintains records, prepares weekly reports on work performed and maintenance orders.
• Inspects and tests vehicles, elevators, fire safety equipment and generator tests.
• Coordinates with outside contractors for roof, elevator and building systems work.
• Ensures personal safety and proper tool/equipment handling.
