Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Florida is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support patient care by maintaining building systems, equipment and safety. You will perform rounds, respond to work orders, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires debugging, reading blueprints, and ensuring compliance with codes and safety regulations. Strong knowledge of building systems, power tools, and preventive maintenance is essential.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of maintenance experience.
• Extensive knowledge of code requirements, power tools and building materials.
• Reads and follows blueprints, schematics, charts, computerized maintenance work orders, schedules and written instructions.
• Maintains logs and computerized preventive and corrective maintenance files.
• Available to assist with emergencies as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and advise other departments, contractors, and staff for maintenance projects.
• Perform routine to specialized preventive maintenance on equipment safety checks.
• Repair mechanical equipment and systems including motors, pumps, plumbing, sanitary systems, and related components.
• Perform general maintenance such as carpentry, painting, interior finishes, doors and windows.
• Read blueprints and follow schedules and work orders.
