Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester seeks a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support hospital operations. You will perform preventive maintenance on pneumatic tube systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and lab equipment, with on-call duties and weekend rotation.

Requirements include at least 4 years in a large facilities environment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to read and follow complex procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years' experience in a large facilities maintenance environment.
Able to read, write, calculate and follow procedures.
Knowledge of plumbing, heating, electrical, pneumatic tube systems and lab gas systems.
Basic computer skills required.
Must be able to drive a 24-foot truck.
On-call on rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on pneumatic tube systems and related equipment.
Repair and maintain hospital facilities equipment and systems.
Replace light bulbs and repair walls and related items; assist with layouts.
Assist with generator testing and major equipment installations.
Document work logs and coordinate parts and supplies.
