Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility for at least 1 year.
• Requires ServSafe certification and ongoing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides.
• Record food temperatures and prepare pureed foods as needed.
• Maintain kitchen in safe, orderly, clean, sanitary condition.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
• Assist with serving meals and report resident care concerns.
