Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility (≥1 year).
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Maintain good standing with the Department of Public Health.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, clean, and sanitary manner.
• Prepare meals in large quantities and follow prepared menus.
• Record food temperatures and prepare special diets accurately.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
• Follow cleaning schedules and ensure proper sanitation throughout the kitchen.
