Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System in New York City seeks a full-time Greeter for the Main Lobby Area to create a welcoming arrival experience, guide patients and visitors, and support visitor management in the central lobby.

The Greeter will perform check-in, assist with wayfinding, escort to destinations, answer calls, and coordinate with security staff to maintain visitor policies and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of healthcare-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors upon arrival with a welcoming first impression.
• Complete the standard check-in procedure for patients and visitors.
• Assist with wayfinding and provide maps as needed.
• Escort patients and visitors to required areas.
• Maintain lobby appearance and coordinate with security teams to uphold policies.
• Notifies staff at destination when patients arrive and maintains communication with unit staff.
• Upholds visitor policies and ensures safety protocols (e.g., visitor badges, mask policies).
• Provides information regarding hospital amenities and guest services and escalates issues to management when needed.
• Receives and maintains inventory for the area and supports lobby maintenance.
