Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a food service cook to prepare cold and hot foods for patients, employees, and others. The role requires adhering to production sheets, following recipes, and maintaining high sanitation and safety standards in a hospital kitchen.

The position offers a non-exempt status with a schedule that includes weekdays and weekends, with various shift options. A possible signing bonus may be available, and compensation will reflect hours scheduled and internal equity

Qualifications

• One to three years' experience in food preparation.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written directions.
• Requires simple use of formulas, charts and tables together with the use of adjustable measuring instruments and graduates.

Responsibilities

• Prepares items as prescribed by production sheets for patient and non-patient areas.
• Sets up entrees for patient tray line and supports line operations.
• Maintains sanitation and safety practices per policies.
• Follows safety and infection control procedures.
• Performs other duties as required.
