Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook at PROMEDICA CHARLES AND VIRGINIA HICKMAN HOSPITAL in Adrian, MI. The role involves preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting hot and cold items for all meal periods and events while following Sodexo’s standards for quality, safety, and presentation.

The position is part-time with varied shifts including mornings and afternoons and rotating weekends. A high school diploma or GED is required, and 0–2 years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years of related food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic operation of kitchen equipment and food-handling procedures.
• Ability to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation and safe handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current federal, state and Sodexo standards for quality and safety.
• Follow recipes and product directions for cooking, seasoning, and serving across meal periods and events.
• Estimate production needs, check production, and maintain records to plan supplies and equipment.
• Significant walking or other mobility is required and shifts may exceed 8 hours.
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and walk/stand for extended periods.
