Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Inc. seeks an experienced HVAC Mechanic at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA.

You will perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC/R systems, troubleshoot issues, install and renovate equipment, and help maintain critical hospital infrastructure ensuring comfort and safety for patients and staff. The role requires a high school diploma (Associates preferred), relevant licenses, and hospital or industrial experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Associate degree in Refrigeration/AC preferred
• Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License and Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform routine predictive & preventive maintenance on HVAC/R equipment and systems throughout the facilities.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning HVAC/R equipment and systems.
• Maintain HVAC/R inventory and keep records up to date.
• Make repairs, calibrate and test equipment and systems.
• Recommend solutions for necessary corrective action.
