Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Technician at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. You will perform routine predictive and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems across our facilities, ensuring reliable climate control for patient care.

Under supervision, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, calibrate and test equipment, and recommend corrective actions to maintain optimal operations in a fast-paced hospital environment. Full-time day shift with 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.
• Two years’ experience in hospital or industrial/commercial environment with HVAC maintenance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine predictive and preventive maintenance on HVAC throughout the facilities.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning HVAC equipment and systems.
• Make repairs, calibrate, and functionally test equipment and systems.
• Recommend solutions for necessary corrective action.

Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Facilities, or designee, perform routine predictive &preventive maintenance on Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) throughout the facilities. Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning HVAC equipment and systems. Make repairs, calibrate, and functionally test equipment and systems. Recommend solutions for necessary corrective action.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.
• Related experience required to demonstrate ability to operate and maintain typical HVAC Systems.
• Two (2) years experience in a hospital or industrial/commercial environment with knowledge in the maintenance and repair of building HVAC components.
• Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation

• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
• Pay RangeUSD $23.38 - USD $39.32 /Hr.

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm
