Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking an Equipment Operator at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. The role involves performing predictive and preventive maintenance on facility equipment, reading readings, and operating hospital energy systems.

Shifts are Day/Evening, 40 hours per week, with weekend and on-call rotation. Required qualifications include a High school diploma or equivalent with two years of trade schooling, and Massachusetts Second Class Fireman's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years trade school education required.
• Massachusetts Second Class Fireman's license REQUIRED.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Experience with Word/Excel and electronic work order system required.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing building equipment and systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems throughout facilities.
• Inspect mechanical areas, equipment, and piping systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning equipment and systems; perform repairs and calibrations.
• Read, record and interpret data/readings; operate energy management systems.
• Must read and follow safety and regulatory requirements.
