Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem is hiring a full-time HVAC technician to perform routine maintenance on hospital facilities, document work in CMMS, and support safe patient environments.

Requirements include 2–4 years of HVAC/facility experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. Travel may be required. The role offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive total rewards package.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of HVAC/mechanical or facility maintenance experience.
• Commercial HVAC experience in a hospital or critical facility preferred.
• Proficient in maintaining and repairing HVAC and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC, facility, and equipment maintenance; document in CMMS.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and mechanical systems (air-handling, motors, pumps, boilers, fans).
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical systems incl. BAS, plumbing, electrical and kitchen equipment.
• Respond to emergencies per established procedures.
• Address occupant requests; perform zone maintenance rounding and update status.
• Read blueprints and maintenance manuals to complete assignments.
• General facility maintenance: doors, carpentry, painting, grounds, snow removal.
