Job summary

CBRE Building Engineer role on a large hospital campus in Denton, TX. You will ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of essential building infrastructure, with a strong focus on commercial HVAC systems and preventive maintenance to support critical patient care environments.

You will troubleshoot, repair rooftop units, manage work orders, and help energy management programs while upholding safety, compliance, and CBRE's RISE values.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school with 4–5 years of related experience.
  • Universal CFC certification preferred; licenses as required by local/state jurisdictions.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook) practical for reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC infrastructure including rooftop units and controls.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks (plumbing, drywall, painting, lighting ballast) as needed.
  • Manage work orders with clear documentation and timely resolutions.
  • Maintain and repair mechanical, structural, and fire/life safety systems to meet codes and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to the site energy management program for peak efficiency.
  • Adhere to safety and hazardous materials handling policies; keep a clean, safe work environment.
  • Apply standard procedures to complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Lead by example and align with CBRE RISE values.
