Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Pittsburgh, part of Select Medical, is seeking an on-site Human Resources Coordinator to partner with hospital leaders and the HR Shared Services team. This full-time, daytime role supports payroll, benefits, recruiting, and HR administration to strengthen the employee lifecycle and regulatory compliance.

You will influence hospital operations and people strategy while delivering high-quality HR services in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in HR, Business or related field required.
• 2 years Human Resources experience required.
• Healthcare experience with Joint Commission and CMS preferred.
• Familiarity with benefit administration, payroll administration, and state and federal employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site HR presence at the hospital, coordinating full HR operations and acting as a trusted resource for employees and leaders.
• Collaborate with HR Shared Services to support payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, employee data and HR administration.
• Coordinate payroll processing, timekeeping, and data integrity while supporting hiring, onboarding and workforce planning.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulatory standards and be the local expert on benefits and HR processes.
• Support employee relations with discretion and professionalism and help cultivate a positive workplace culture.
• Contribute insights to shape HR strategy and operational effectiveness at the hospital level.
