Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking an Environmental Services Coordinator at Lowell General Hospital, Saints Campus in Lowell, MA. The role focuses on housekeeping and administrative tasks, supervising staff in the supervisor's absence, and coordinating daily tasks to maintain a clean, safe environment.

You will manage shift coverage, perform room inspections, inventory, and QA checks, and support inter-department relations.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three years of related experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs weekly projects and coordinates shift work as designated by the supervisor.
• Ensures staff have proper equipment and supplies to complete tasks.
• Follows infection control, chemical handling, and hazardous waste procedures.
• Maintains safety practices and body mechanics during duties.
• Performs shift start/end check-ins and facility rounds.
• Operates cleaning and floor care equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintains inventory records for laundry and supplies; reports needs to manager.
• Coordinates small moves or room setups for events and functions.
