Job summary

Lowell General Hospital, part of Tufts Medicine, is hiring for an Environmental Services Worker to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in patient areas and hospital facilities. You will perform routine cleaning, waste removal, and surface disinfection to meet quality standards, working under supervisor guidance.

The role involves 40 hours per week, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM with every other weekend and rotating holidays, and pays $17.00–$20.02 per hour with benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, orderly environment in patient areas, offices, clinics, and other areas.
• Operates cleaning equipment safely and according to procedures.
• Removes waste and disposables following proper waste streams.
• Disinfects bathrooms and surfaces to maintain hygiene standards.
• Transports linens and supplies as needed.
• Performs general cleaning duties as assigned by supervisor.
