Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Guest Services Associate at High Point Medical Center to greet patients and visitors, provide information, and help them navigate the facility with courtesy and professionalism. The full-time schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, 40 hours per week, with compensation within the posted pay range of $21.85 to $32.80 per hour.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification/Registration/License: Valid Driver's License, Basic Life Support Certification, Annual Defensive Driving Course.
• Work Experience: Ability to type 60 words per minute; computer proficiency.
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Growth and development knowledge; age-appropriate care; familiarity with office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of assigned teammates.
• Orient new teammates and provide ongoing training; assess staff; train volunteers as appropriate.
• Participate in regular staff meetings with Supervisors and Huddle Meetings.
• Greet patients and guests; respond to inquiries courteously and professionally.
• Provide directions and information about hospital amenities and locations.
• Explain hospital policies to families and promote open communication.
• Respond to emergencies as directed.
• Collect data and documentation to identify areas for improving customer service.
• Suggest policy or procedure changes to leaders based on observations.
• Direct complaints and compliments to appropriate staff.
• Record and submit documentation/reports for services provided.
