The role of the Business Development Representative is to implement the hospital's BD plan, establish and maintain referral sources, plan community events, and serve as a liaison to ensure high-quality service and a positive hospital image.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
• Previous business development experience in psychiatric healthcare is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with favorable MVR; proof of automobile insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Provides effective account management of assigned accounts.
• Identifies and pursues new potential referral sources.
• Coordinates admissions with intake, referral office, MD and case management.
• Attends BD team and sub-committee meetings.
• Develops monthly/quarterly BD plans for accounts.
• Participates in community meetings and programs.
• Supports marketing events and manages BD budget.
• Keeps referral sources informed of program changes.
• Markets the hospital to build community awareness and a positive image.
• Displays fiscal responsibility.
